Friendships

* beware a 'poor me tea party' is straight ahead




I was walking through Target today when all the sudden I realized I have 2 friends, one of which doesn't live here =(

I wanted to go have lunch but my sil was busy working and my one friend who does live here is getting ready for her wedding this Saturday so I haven't heard from her all week.

Once I really started to think about the previous friends I 've had in my life I got all kinds of pissed , because for the simple fact that I consider myself to be a fuckin good friend.

I feel like I am a giving , supportive, enjoyable and even once in a while funny person to be with. Am I a social butterfly Hell No! I really do not enjoy the bar scenes, I would much rather stay at home and hang out, go have coffee, see a movie or go shopping. But an overall good friend.

I was friends with a chick a few years ago and we hit it off just great, we liked each others families , our kids liked each other and we hung out alot.

One day she called me to tell me her washer broke and of course I said I would help her get a new one, since she had 5 in her family and having to go to the laundry mat to wash the clothes and turn around and dry them at home would take forever.

Once I helped get the washer to her house she right away started with the "I'm gonna pay you back asap " (I told her don't worry, I would hope someone would do the same if I needed help) within DAYS she stopped calling me and I never heard from her again.

I actually walked in front of her car at Target once , I looked straight at her smiled/waved and she looked away.

Come to find out through another chick we worked with she wasn't able to pay me back and just thought it would be easier to stop talking to me (even though I told her not to worry about repayment).

Being in the store made me think of her.

So I just walked around until I had finished my pity party and left the store.
