compasion at 7

This afternoon as the boy and I were headed to the grocery store(s) we came upon a homeless man on the side of the freeway. Once I came to a stop he looked over at me with tears in his eyes and I was blown away.

REWIND A BIT

Before we set out for the store I stopped to get gas and the cashier thought he was being so very helpful that he gave him a 50 cent piece he was soo stoked he has never had one of these.

So after I noticed he was crying ,I asked him if he would like to help the man by giving him your half dollar. To my surprise he said "yes" but before we could get it out and to the man the light had been green and he just said "it's ok mom, next time ".

I am just so surprised he is so aware of other peoples situations .

Needless to say I was a proud mama at that moment.
