What is it about children walking into another persons home that instantly makes them hungry and thirsty?
I've been pulling my hair out every time my sons friends come over to play. Each and every time they come in they are thirsty and hungry and in no particular order.
So I ask of you ~What is a mom to do? Do I feed the nation of children flooding my home day after day? Or do I stop the food wagon and send them all packing when they request a bite or sip?
I know my son has been raised to be polite when he is visiting someone, but fails terribly when we are with family or friends. When it comes to him being at his friends houses he insists he would rather come home and have a snack then to eat what another mom offers him.
I guess it is because I was told never to ask for anything to eat or drink when I was somewhere that I am feeling like this.
I was blown away the other night when one of the boys who plays here often came over and purely wanted something to drink and stated clearly he was not here to play . The hub answered the door and I heard " I don't want to play right now but I'm thirsty ,can I have a Gatorade , Soda , Juice or Water ?" ( this kid lives 2 houses away for goodness sakes )
It's times like that, that make me want to yell out "go home and got some water you little brat " but just smile and watch my hub hand him a soda.
So I welcome advice.
Please and Thank You : )

Halle-friggin-luyahhhhhh!!! Spelled completely wrong and I don't give a shizzy.
These friggin animalistic kids LOVE my house! I am a very generous, giving person you know, but when they can diminish $200 worth of Costco snack stuff I get a little peeved. They can eat more than me....and you know what that entails!
I feel you. I am the snack house too!
