Supporting in Silence?

Ok I am fit to be tied!!!
I have been to all 3 baseball games for my son and have not seen or heard 1 parent cheer, clap or whistle a word at any of them.
Now I understand this is a new thing for some parents but give me a break, for goodness sake show your child you are proud! I cannot tell you how many times I have clapped for a child who isn't mine just so they can hear that someone is watching them do their best, not to mention the countless times I have screamed out in GLEE for my own little player.
I am just amazed that you could sit in silence while you watch your own child try sooo hard to hit a run or to make it to the next base and not say a word or raise your hands to clap it really makes me sad.
We praise our son for every attempt he makes at hitting the ball or running the bases and always tell him to do his best.I guess silence is some parents way of showing their support and if this is the case I am glad to be the parent who stands out at the games!!!!!
